Our "Shenendehowa.Dollars for Scholars Chapternet" - our on line application for scholarships - is now open and ready for high school seniors who live in the Shenendehowa School District to apply for scholarships.  Set up your profile, obtain the necessary letter(s) of reference (depending on the scholarship) and have your teacher/guidance counselor complete all sections of your transcript and upload the information to our system.  It has been simplified this year and students should have no difficulty in applying for the many scholarships available - all of which require this one application.  For all but a few scholarships, your one letter of reference will suffice. Submitting another which describes how you meet the special criteria when applying to special named scholarships will enhance your eligibility.  We anticipate adding several new scholarships in the upcoming year, so visit our site often.

Our Fall 2017 letter writing campaign will be held during the month of November.  Donations may be made by mailing a check or money order to Shenendehowa Dollars for Scholars, Inc., P.O. Box 4390, Clifton Park, NY 12065.  You may also donate on line if you wish to use a credit card -  see the "Donate Now" tab on this website.

This year our Awards Night was held at the Clifton Park Halfmoon Library on June 15, 2017. A total of $13,750 was awarded to 19 students - 18 graduating from Shenendehowa High School and 1 from Catholic Central High School. A unique advantage of having Dollars for Scholars administer a special scholarship is that many colleges have promised to match our awards. This year students received an additional $2,750 from this college match. The Board of Directors of Shenendehowa Dollars for Scholars presented a special keepsake (donated by Canon Kay C. Hotaling, Co-President) to Donald Flynt, retiring Principal of Shenendehowa High School to thank him for his support of our program. We enjoyed a special cake in his honor and other refreshments and were gratified that Kassie Parisi attended our presentation, got a great picture of our scholarship recipients (see attached)  and will be writing an article for the GAZETTE. We thank Kassie for her interest and support!
